Privacy Policy
Effective date:
This Policy explains how EmoteStats handles information from its bot, website, API, and support, including activity from server members who never use a command or visit the website.
1. Information we collect
EmoteStats must read messages, including edits, and observe reactions in channels and threads the bot can access to count emote, sticker, and reaction use and handle commands. If it cannot access a channel, it cannot count activity there. We do not keep message text or attachments as analytics records. Direct messages are not used for server analytics.
To provide emote, sticker, and reaction analytics for servers and users, we record which items were used, when and where they were used, and the user that used them. Reaction records may also include the message ID and its author's user ID. We record emote and sticker catalog changes, available uploader IDs, and command names and selected analytics categories, without other arguments.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide statistics and commands, correct counts, prevent duplicate processing and abuse, troubleshoot problems, and respond to support requests. We do not sell personal information or share it with other companies for their own purposes.
3. Public statistics and providers
Anyone with a server's Discord ID can view its available dashboard and API results without joining or signing in. Public results include server information, emote and sticker details, rankings, and daily totals, but not message text, individual member histories, or channel-level records.
Activity from a restricted channel can contribute to public server totals if the bot can access it. Channel permissions control collection. Others may keep copies of public results that we cannot remove.
Hosting, storage, delivery, and support providers may process information needed to operate EmoteStats. Externally served fonts, icons, and Discord images send connection information to their providers. Discord handles its services under its own Privacy Policy. We may disclose information in response to a legitimate legal request.
4. Retention and deletion
We keep analytics history for a rolling 12 months through recurring cleanup. The dashboard shows up to 90 days; this display window does not mean older retained data has been deleted.
Settings, account preferences, processing records, logs, and support correspondence are kept as needed to operate the service, resolve requests, maintain security, or meet legal obligations. Backup copies may expire later than active records.
Removing the bot or leaving a server does not automatically delete retained history. Contact us to request deletion.
5. Your choices and requests
Use /opt-out in a server with EmoteStats to stop recording your future emote, sticker, reaction, and personal command activity across all servers. Run it again to turn tracking back on. Use while tracking was off will not be added later. Opting out does not delete past statistics.
To ask about your information or request access, correction, or deletion, email support@emotestats.gg or visit EmoteStats Support. You do not need to be a server administrator or join our support server. We may ask you to verify your identity, but we will never ask for your Discord password or token.
Depending on your location, you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or a complaint to a data-protection authority.
6. Website, security, and updates
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first platform, to understand how our website is used and prevent abuse. Plausible does not use cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. Hosting and delivery providers may process information in different countries. We use access controls to protect information.
We may update this Policy when our practices change and will announce material changes. See our Terms of Service.
